About

Discord Friends is a Discord server that aims to provide a better gaming experience for you, your friends, and soon-to-be friends alike. We use automatic channel management powered by the Auto Voice Channels bot to allow all of your friends to play any number of games on a single server while avoiding "dead" channels or clutter. If you like this idea, please review and agree to our rules and join the server. Getting started is as easy as clicking on the "New Room" channel to automagically create your personal voice and chat room. Help our community by inviting your friends and spreading the word as we benefit from having more Discord Friends.


All members MUST observe and obey the Rules as outlined below. Violation of these rules WILL result in either a temporary or permanent ban depending on your infraction(s).

  1. Be nice or leave!
    • No personal attacks, offensive language, harassment, witchhunting, sexism, racism, hate speech, religious/political defamation or other disruptive behavior.
    • This also applies to voice chats. Disruptive behaviour in voice includes voice changers, soundboards, extremely loud noises, etc.
    • Do not ping/mention users who are not currently engaged in the chat unless they're okay with it
    • Do not impersonate anyone - including admins, mods, company employees, or anyone else
    • Do not act as if you are able to carry out staff actions if you're not part of the staff team.


  2. No offensive or otherwise inappropriate nicknames or profile pictures
    • This includes blank or invisible names and excessive use of noisy or unusual unicode characters


  3. Don't spam
    • Includes excessive amounts of messages, emojis, capital letters, pings/mentions, etc.


  4. NSFW content is NOT allowed
    • NSFW = Not Safe For Work, i.e. porn, gore, suggestive content, etc.


  5. Use the appropriate channels
    • General conversations can take place in #💬lounge
    • LFG (looking for group) posts belong in #👋lfg
    • Room specific discussions belong in #💬room-chat
    • No advertising is permitted outside of these channels:
      • Recruiting for Teams/Clans/Guilds, use #👥recruit
      • Videos can be posted in #🎬videos
      • Streams can be posted in #📺streams
      • No Discord invites


  6. English, please
    • Keep all discussion in text channels and general voice channels in English


  7. Do not share, use, or promote cheats/hacks


  8. Trading, selling, begging, boosting and account sharing are not allowed


  9. No scam links, URL shorteners, IP grabbers, etc.


  10. Listen to server staff
    • If an admin or moderator tells you to stop doing something, stop doing it
    • Don't argue about mod decisions in chat. If you'd like to discuss or dispute a decision, please message an admin or moderator directly.
